One of the most recent neighborhoods that has risen up out of refurbished mid-century modern furniture warehouses, home-decor showrooms, contemporary art galleries and photo studios is Dallas’s Design District.
Don’t let the bougie title fool you though, the Design District hails some laid-back brew joints, taco stops, BBQ joints and southern diners that’ll never get displaced, a dive-y bowling alley alongside the art galleries, model agencies and photo studios.
Places of interest: Meddlesome Moth, BowlLounge, Mama’s Daughter’s Diner, Lula B’s, Ascension Coffee, Conduit Gallery, Community Beer Company, Pie Tap Pizza and the Dallas Contemporary.
